Perth Glory vs West Ham
11am KO, BST. Would assume there will be a few streams knocking about later.

Cornet wasn't on the bus as he stayed behind for intense training by all accounts, which seems a good move rather than going on this beano.

It could go either way with Scamacca, you can't call it. Ings will go because he fits the profile for a good championship/promoted club and we need him off the wage bill as he will never justify them.

Re: Perth Glory vs West Ham
I'd get rid of Antonio and Scamacca, for sure.

Mubama should be first choice going into the season, with Ings an option from the bench/Euro games.

I'd also sign Adama Traore to deputise when needed.

Re: Perth Glory vs West Ham
Despite me thinking Antonio isn't as bad on the pitch as others do, I think it would be pretty helpful overall for the team and the club if he moved on this summer.

Would ideally like to see the other two stay. Particularly Scamacca, and Ings can still be effective if we can use him properly.

Ings is more likely to stay than Scamacca.

Coffee - That's just no more than just a rumour right now, no club to club contact. I do see Antonio going though, and Ings. And throw in Vlasic too.

Not really the person I'd expecting to join the KKK?

(I'd love it if the Saudi story was true)

If rumours are t be believed, Antonio will be starting the season in flowing white robes and a head dress.

Re: Perth Glory vs West Ham
I did like the way there was at least an attempt to experiment against Perth (Fornals as a false 9 in the first half with Ings/Scamacca wide)

Re: Perth Glory vs West Ham
It's quite promising to see 2 (or more) attackers up front for once.

I'm half expecting us to start the season with Antoino as a lone striker though, which would make all this 2 up front thing a complete waste of time.

Re: Perth Glory vs West Ham
I suppose to be fair to Moyes he did start with 2 up front with a team missing 6 or 7 first team regulars from last season. It didn't start out as being defensive.

Tottenham did pile on the pressure and missed loads of opportunities they probably would not have missed in a PL game with a fairly full squad that they rotated with fresh legs.

I loved our gritty determination and seeing younger players that are clearly coming through well but frankly, I'm fed up watching gritty performances and would like to see a bit of style this season...

You have to be that way Idiot, because deep down you know you are in for another hard watch this season and the next European cup has teams in it that have a proven record of beating us….it’s only right you will hang on to it for as long as possible….but the next season needs to be good…and it’s set up as it stands to be the same as last season….a LOT of defeats in that one WITH our best player who’s now gone….

Re: Perth Glory vs West Ham
As for Moyes vs Allardyce, I didn't really have any grumbles with Moyes' general play until last season. We were better.

Allardyce wasn't fun at times but I think he had far worse players to pick from, and his way of playing was definitely more effective than the Moyes way of 22-23.

Re: Perth Glory vs West Ham
Agree. To be fair we played OK against Perth but I feel he was playing a bit scared yesterday as although only a friendly, a loss or a big loss to spurs would look really bad for him.

He's got to get out of this habit of being ultra defensive in games that have any stakes whatsoever attached to them. We've seen the players can play nice positive pass and move football but he's just too scared of losing to let them do it.

I'll forego yesterday as I'm sure the above is why we played like that, (coupled with the fact we are still to do our transfer business) but you really want to see some sort of evolution or improvement in how we play going forward, and it has to start in preseason.

Re: Perth Glory vs West Ham
With yesterday's line up if we had opened up and gone 4 it their 1st team would've battered us and there would be even more moaning on here.

As for sam its a tight call but we won a trophy under moyes

Re: Perth Glory vs West Ham
Yesterday was a chance to see if he's prepared to chance the god awful way we play, wasn't it?

I mean, I'm not calling for MOYUES OUT yet, but we were fucking awful again.

I reckon we played sexier football under Allardyce.
